Arizona Visit

The week of April 20 greeted Leah and I (and pups) with the tremendously good fortune of visiting Shell, Mom, and Dad!  The Valley of the Sun greeted us with the first 100 degree days of the year.  Boy howdy!  I had forgotten how hot it gets in these parts!

We enjoyed our visit with the exception of seeing Shell endure a day or two of pain.  She did quite a bit a sleeping due to the drugs and chemo treatments, but her body needs a bit of rest.  I suspect she has been dealing with some pain for a while.  We did everything we could to comfort and support her.

Leah and I especially appreciated seeing freinds and family generate and provide support for Shell.  She has many good, good freinds!  I think even Shell was overwhelmed by the show of support and encouragement!  She is in good hands.

My mother and father are champions in my eyes!  They are there for Shell night and day, rain or shine.  They are most giving of themselves and would do anything to fix Shelly.  My admiration and love go out to them.  I wish we all could do more...

On a lighter note, Amy, our Yellow Lab, was also very supportive.  She was usually the first up in the morning and went to check on Shell first thing.  She greeted Shell with a smile at the start of each new day.  The little things sometimes mean alot!

Shell, we love you and think the world of you and are here to help you fight this battle!   We will win!!!

Dan and Leah, you guys rock. I am so glad you were able to set up this blog and help get ready for the sale.

I know everyone has a lot to do getting ready for the big sale, but I need a photo of Shell to use on my flyers for my sale. Can someone please send one to the dumb blonde email address?

This whole experience has been incredible... I have never been one to ask for help, so asking for contributions for my sale on the 9th was really new to me. And finding out that people are willing to give to someone they have never met is just awe inspiring.

May not equal your sale out there, but it won't be for a lack of effort on a lot of people out here!

    Love ya
    Linda

Okay, I found Mesa. Now we are working timing to get there. As to waiting for the dust to settle, well it seems to never settle for us. Seems like there is always something else coming up or to do. We will make apoint of it to get there this summer!! I think that you are only 8-12 hr drive away.Keep your head up as there is always a beautiful sunset you won't want to miss.

Hello Dan and Leah, I just want to tell you how great you both are and how wonderful this blog site is. I think it is a great way for people to stay in touch with Shell and her progress. Everyone needs a great brother and sister in law in their lives. And a few cute dogs don't hurt either!!!!
    Thanks again,
    Vanessa
