The Poor Lump
Once there was a gal
A tough ole gal was she.
You'd want her as a pal.
She was a former catcher you see.
One day a lump she did find.
We won't tell you where
As she might mind.
To battle she went on a tear.
Doctors phones rang off the hook.
People got out of her way.
She would win no matter what it took.
Quit? That would be the day!
The cards and calls kept rolling in.
Tears were shed by a few
But we still knew Shell was going to win!
So we did stop the tears, because we knew
the tough ole broad wouldn't let us slip.
the wait was not easy.
It didn't want to go at a fast clip.
We know Shell might be queasy,
And she could be hairless,
But the end is a known fact.
Because Shell is fearless!
So it is without shame or tact.
That I say the former catcher is going to kick ass!

Who knew Lynn had it in him?? He's right though! This is just a really unpleasant detour for Shelly.
Took today and tomorrow off to get ready for our sale...lots of stuff and no clue how to price a lot of it so I am winging it!! Tomorrow, we'll put up all the signs and ice down the water and soda for sale!

Right on Dad! She was my catcher for a year....one of our teammates has said if she can survive that she can survive anything! ROCK ON O! That lump is just a bump in the road of life.
