Fundraiser at 'The Door'
The silent auction/raffle at the Door on May 15th was a major success and a really good time. Thanks to Chris and Jim for opening up their bar to us! They layed out a nice spread of food and were very greacious hosts indeed. Val was on the mic and has everyone convinced she should have her own traveling show. Silent auction items included tickets to Fleetwood Mac, Sports memorabilia, to paintings done by local artists. Once the raffle got underway the place was really swingin. Val was really whoopin it up with Sasha Sinclair and if anyone has pictures of that please send them to me so we can get some up on the blog. The big announcement came early by Valentin. Him and his son Eric got me VIP tickets to the Diamondback/Angel game June 27th, but more than that he managed to get me down on the field for batting practice prior to that game to meet and greet players. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity and i'm VERY grateful!!! Thanks to everyone who worked hard behind the scenes to make this fundraiser successful which includes Val, Mary Kay, Rhonda and Gator, Valentin and Eric. All your hard work is very appreciated. If anyone is interested in that Dback/Angel game i beleive Valentin still has tickets for sale.

Wow!!! It sounds like a great evening! I'm sorry I missed it. And that ballgame....well, WOWZA!!! How cool is that?!?!? I know you're just going to enjoy the heck outta that!!

Hey Shelly was great to see you friday night, i think things went well and everyone had a great time. Hope we got some $$ together to help out with things.....Wow I din't get home till 4am, must have been fun
