Chemo #10
Howdy all, just a quick update. I went for chemo #10 yesterday. We thought it was the end of chemo for now, but apparently there was a miscommunication. The doctor had 6 months of chemo planned from the start. So, 3 more months of chemo are added on from here. If we stop now he said the cancer will just come back. That being said we are in it for the marathon and not the sprint at this point. Also, next month we will have several scans done which give us more information about how the tumors are doing (they gotta be gettin smaller!) I'm feeling good and am antsy to get back to work. Wont know more until these scans are done next month. My hope is i can go back to work and get some normalcy back into my life, but we'll have to wait and see.
Last week a good friend of mine flew in from California and took me to chemo #9. Thanks to Sherri for taking time out of her busy schedule and spending some time in Mesa with me!
Hope everyone is well. Thanks for all the cards, phone calls, and friends who have come by and done simple things to make life easier like cutting the grass, cleaning, and dropping off food. All are greatly appreciated. I couldnt get thru this without all of your support, especially my parents who have been here thru the good and the bad!!
Peace! Shelly

Sorry about the miscommunication Owie, I know you're ready to get back to some type of normal schedule, including work. I'm here for the hail, I never was good at sprinting anyway. Now I have an excuse to keep my hair like this and I'll finally get there to get my turn at going with you to treatment. I'll be there Friday night but I'm already checking my schedule for the next trip....I'm hopin latter part of July and aiming for the middle of the week so I'm there for a Thursday.
Whatever ya need, whatever it takes, sign me up!
love ya,
Jodie

When am I finally going to remember to proof read my entries? The previous post should say "I'm here for the haul", the long haul...you can put together a honey "do" list for me for next weekend if ya'd like. I'm hopin to be there around 5PM or so and staying until noonish on Monday.....be thinking of what you would like done.
See ya soon O. My love to you and your family, always,
Jodie
P.S. I'll bring my work schedule with me so we can decide the next visit, what would be most convenient and useful to you.

That sucks, Shell, but maybe better in the long haul that you weren't facing 6 months from the get go...that could have been pretty intimidating.
I have a week's vacation reserved for you, so let me know when/if you want me out there. I can pretty much be there any time and would love to give your folks some time off.
Chris and Ashley can dog sit so it's all covered.
Love ya, kid

Hey Pal, Just so you know we are all with you for however long it takes; you know how stubborn I am and all your friends have the same resolve, when ever where ever you need us. Don't you like how I speak for everyone?

Of course I saw that! Heck I have lots of good lines you can use, although not all of them are suitable to print!
