California visitors

Hi everyone, just wanted to keep the blog fresh and make some updates.  I'd like to thank the California visitors i've had in the last month or so.  Sherri a good friend of mine since Junior High School came out from Thousand Oaks and took me to Chemo #9 at the beginning of June.  It was good to spend some time with her and i'm glad she took time out of her busy schedule to come out.

The weekend of the infamous Diamondback/Angel game, Jodie Pilkenton and her mother Susanne came out from Lompoc for a good visit.  They got to attend the game and came over for a visit on Sunday.  Jodie and i attended Yavapai College together back in 1980/81.  We both attended on Softball scholarships and were roommates at that time.  We both agree,  that was some of the funnest times to be had.

Last  week Lauren from Westhills, Ca.  came out and took me to chemo #13.  It was so hot we took a road trip up to Flagstaff to get some relief from the heat.  We spent some time up at the Snow Bowl and really enjoyed it.

Mom took me to chemo #14 Thursday and this past week I went for 2 MRI's of my back and a PETscan on Friday.  Next Thursday we will get the results back on both those tests and i will let everyone know what the doctor has to say at the end of next week.

Its very humbling to know my support group runs so deep and i am very appreciative.

I'd also like to send out a very big Thank You to Tracey Eller who is a flight attendant and good friend.  She has been selling the heating pads my Moms been making.  She has been selling them like hot cakes!  Its keeping my Mom busy at the sewing machine, which she truely loves!  Thank you Tracey, you are a sweet heart!!

I would also like to thank my Dad who bought me the extra innings package on DirectV  for my Birthday, which features 80 baseball games a week!!!  Angels baseball here i come!!

Hope everyone is well.  Take care,

Shelly
