REMISSION!!!!!!!!!

My Mom took me to chemo #15 today (7-23-2009) and we got the best news possible...REMISSION!!!  The tumors have shrunk and their is no cancer activity at this time.  I do have one fractured vertabrae in the lumbar 1.   However, my thoracic 1 which was diagnosed fractured back in April, is now stable.  The chemo is working dramatically and he called the diagnosis "spectacular".  He was very pleased and we were shocked.  I was hoping for good news but this was above and beyond.  Thanks to the good doctor and my parents who have been there every step of the way for me.  Today was a good day.  Thank you to everyone who have sent good wishes, prayers and thoughts our way.  We aren't out of the woods yet but we've come a long way and are relieved with this news.  At this time we will continue with chemo for another 3 months to kick this monster while its down.  That is the chemo #15 update!!!  Thanks for being with me on my chemo journey!!!

Peace,  Shelly
