Round two
Yesterday i spoke with Dr. Taylor and he informed me that the MRI showed "multiple spots" on the lining of the brain at the base. They are very small. Today i saw Dr. Cavalcant. He said my heart looks very strong and there was no other cancer detected from the PTscan. He feels this is good news. A) it hasn't spread thru my body and
I responded well to the 1st round of radiation, he suspects i will respond well again. So i see Dr. Taylor tomorrow morning to set up our radiation schedule. Unfortunately, i have to go back on steroids, last time i ballooned up and gained 30 pounds. But if it means no more cancer...thats what i'll do. It also means that i will lose my hair for the 3rd time in a year....and it was just starting to grow back ! The people where i work (Town of Gilbert) have been phenomenal during my journey. Not a day goes by that someone doesn't ask how i'm feeling or how my treatment is going. My boss Richard has been very accommodating with Dr. appointments and scans. He went thru this experience with his wife so he's well aware of just how involved it is. And of course there is my Mom who has been to countless Dr. appointments, scans, chemo's and radiation treatments. She has been a rock...at least in front of me. This wasn't the news we were expecting but we know it could have been worse. So...the fight continues!! Thanks to everyone for all your support!!!!

Yo O, no this certainly was not what you or any of us wanted to hear. But, as you so eloquently put it, it could have been worse! You have beat this once already and you will again. And, remember, you won't be the only one without hair!! My committment to keeping my head shaved for you and a couple others remains in tact with no thought or plan to turn back on it now. You've got the attitude and fortitude to beat cancer.
Keep the faith, your supporters remain behind you in this fight 100%.
Love ya my friend,
Jodie
